Hi Tim, I haven't been here for a while and I don't remember what you mean by 'favourable gap'. I don't see any gap in the AMWD-graph. Can you explain?
Thanks for your note. When I set up a trade I have a target gap calculated by the model for that trade. So if I were going to sell AAPL and buy XOM for instance the model will also calculate from 1% to 20% how far they have to gap before the close in order for the trade to happen. If the gap were 2% and AAPL were up 1% and XOM down 1% that would create the 2% gap necessary for the trade.
When I first started this I was trading in the morning and had to manually enter the gap into the sell in my records. Now I trade just before the close and just record all trades on the closing price so the calculations are automatic going forward.
